We’re pleased to share that the greens renovation is progressing right on schedule. Beginning next Tuesday, MacCurrach will start placing sprigs on holes 1–4, 9, 18, the putting and chipping areas, and the new nursery green. With the additional sod being brought in, we expect nine holes to be completed by the end of next week.

Meanwhile, JB and his team have been hard at work maximizing the course closure. They’ve focused on the fairways, short grass, and rough—top dressing and aerating trouble spots to encourage healthy turf recovery. Just last week, they verticut the fairways to thin out excess growth and enhance the overall playing surface.

As we enter into our second week of the greens renovation, we wanted to send out an email with our updated reciprocal rates and weekly groups.

The renovation will begin on May 5, 2025, with an anticipated completion in early October. During this period, our agronomic team will also conduct aeration of tees and fairways, along with addressing several key areas that are typically challenging to maintain during peak playing times. 

In addition to the course improvements, the upcoming Toptracer installation will provide an exciting way to refine your game. Members will have the opportunity to practice, sharpen their skills, and even experience playing renowned courses from around the world. 

As part of this transition, we are pleased to offer exclusive access for members and their guests starting in late July, when we will introduce temporary greens. This will allow you to witness the progress of the renovation firsthand while still enjoying the opportunity to play. During this time, our course hours will be Tuesday through Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with tee times available exclusively to members and their guests. 

On or around September 7, 2025, the course will be temporarily closed to finalize preparations for our grand reopening. This final phase will allow our agronomic team to apply the finishing touches as we prepare to unveil our newly restored greens.

You may have noticed someone on the course Tuesday, maneuvering a three-wheeled cart. He was mapping the greens for next year's renovation—an essential first step. This detailed mapping will help contractors pinpoint where the original edges end and the collars begin, allowing them to restore the greens to their intended design.

MacCurrach Golf seamlessly integrates modern technology with on-site construction, making it a crucial part of their operation. They use Trimble GPS data collectors, robotic total stations, and cloud-based data storage to ensure precision and efficiency throughout the process.
